Balkan Trafik! is returning to Brussels for a 14th edition from 23 to 26 april. For the first time, the festival celebrating the culture of the countries of South-East Europe will be held at La Madeleine on April 25.
Concerts, dance, food, and unusual encounters on the menu!

Goran Bregović & his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra mix Gypsy brass musicians with percussions, Bulgarian polyphonies with a choir of male vocalists, a string section with electronic programming … Dressed in white, seated between his amplifier and his computer, an electric guitar in his hand. For more than twenty years Goran Bregović and his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra have roamed all continents of the known world on a never-ending tour that totals over 3000 shows so far. For Balkan Trafik! the Master, Goran Bregovic, will be offering a career Best Of  during more than 2h30. For the occasion, about twenty young artists of all ages and from the whole region will join him on stage.

Gipsy Groove, formed in 2010, plays authentic Balkan Romani music, injected with other musical influences like jazz, reggae, funk, ska, drum and bass, etc. Gipsy Groove is the only band in Kosovo performing this kind of music. Gipsy Groove is the guarantee of an impressive show in which nobody is left forgotten. Their performances are charismatic, energetic and often improvised. The band members are from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and they bring their cultural diversity as well as their interest in human rights and peace into their performances.

KermesZ à l’Est, eight musicians  with well-steeled personalities hammer out an original fusion of Balkan melodies, metal, math rock, electro and free jazz. Their unique repertoire is enhanced by their hilarious stage antics, drawing on freak shows and cabinets of curiosities to produce an explosive, dance-filled and festive show. For more than 10 years, KermesZ à l’Est has been lighting up street art festivals and stages all over Europe.
